Pastors Brian and Natasha Young received the call to plant a church over 21 years ago with a simple goal to help people learn what they were learning about the things of God. As this vision began to expand and grow in their lives, God began to instruct them to build a church that would be a "Restoration Center" for the hurting and the lost. With the help of, what is known as the RESTORE Team, 20 people committed to seeing this vision become a reality. Word Power Church began on May 15, 2011. That Sunday over 60 people attended our first service at the Hampton Inn conference room in League City, Texas.

From the beginning, Word Power Church focused on reaching out to the people of God that had been to church, had fallen away, and needed restoration. We started by teaching the un-compromised word of grace and walking in love as a family. Galatians 6:1 says brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself   lest you also be tempted. From this vision, we developed the "Worship Experience," where the churched and the un-churched could experience a spirit-filled service with joy and expectation. We are also currently giving the tithe of our offerings into missions.

We have currently developed and implemented Word Power Bible College effective September 2015, whereby we offer an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies. We are training and disciplining individuals who have a hunger and thirst for God's Word for the end-time harvest.

We are experiencing exponential growth. We are currently seeing on average a family a week become members at Word Power Church. We have been recognized by the League City Council as having an established presence in the Galveston County Community whereby both Pastors currently serve as the League City Police Department Chaplains.
